Cape Ann LEARN TO SKATE - This program is held at our local rink and provides crates for the little ones learning to skate for the first time.   Be prepared.... your son or daughter may not even need them at all!  You will be amazed at how quickly they learn balance, turns, and the skills they acquire to raise themselves up after a fall.  Coaches are there to support, care, and teach your children to skate.   The rink is divided into three sections and as your child progresses, they can begin playing mini games, and will be introduced to basic hockey skills.  Tuition for this 20-week program is approximately $200.

CAYH has several program options for mite-age players (birth years 2009 & 2010) for the 2017-18 season.  All of the programs have different program descriptions, cost and commitment levels.

Cape Ann Cross Ice (non-travel) - All practices and scrimmages held at our local rink.  Skills follow ADM Model and scrimmages utilize the width of the rink.  Focus on hockey skills development.  Tuition for this 20-week program is approximately $400.

Cape Ann In House (non-travel) - All practices and scrimmages held at our local rink.  Skills follow ADM Model and scrimmages utilize the full length of the rink.  Focus on skills development, including the rules/game of hockey.  Tuition for this 20-week program is approximately $400.

Cape Ann Mite Hybrid Team (travel) - The CAYH Mite Hybrid Team participates in the Valley Hockey League and competes in
a combination of half and full ice mite games, per USA Hockey rules.  VHL mite teams are divided into geographical areas to minimize travel and are also split up into multi-tier divisions to maximize parity. Teams play a 25-game schedule that consists of half ice games (September-December) and a specific number of full-ice games (January-March), including play-offs.   Practices are held 1-2 evenings per week at our local rink and there is generally 1 game each weekend at a Valley League rink.  The season runs from September-March.   Tuition for the 2017-18 season will be $1200.

Cape Ann Spring Buzzer Hockey (non-travel) - This is a hockey program developed for boys and girls (birth year 2007-2011) for the 2017 spring season who have not participated in travel hockey.  The main goal of the program is to transition young skaters to a more stuctured game environment.  Coaches will build on the skills learned from the Learn to Skate and Cross Ice Programs.  The program will be for skaters ready for a fun, competitive, and exciting game experience.  Many of the coaches from our developmental program will organize and manage the on-ice activities.  This program runs for 6 weeks.  Tuition for the spring 2017 season was $75 and began in March.
